Constitutional Greatness
Go back to 1786-1787, the period immediately prior to the ratification of the United States Constitution.
Imagine if its proponents boasted that the new federal government would have:
1… Unlimited taxing authority to collect funds not only necessary to fund the specified powers of the new government, but also to evaluate the earnings of all individuals and redistribute what the government considered excessive away from those producing it to those the government considered “needy”;
2… To dictate the curriculum of the nation’s schools;
3… To decide the wage and benefits which must be paid by employers to employees;
4… To force every working individual to invest a portion of their earnings into a government run retirement program where the government has sole discretion to determine the contribution and terms of return;
5… To acquire the sole authority to provide for individual health care;
6… To provide subsidies to farmers not to produce crops;
7… and To regulate and control virtually every aspect of society.
The Constitution would never have been ratified. The people of the United States fought a war against the most powerful nation on earth to throw off the shackles of a repressive government. They would never voluntarily replace it with another. The Constitution was ratified only because the powers of the federal government were limited to specific enumerated powers - best performed by a federal government as defined within Article 1 Section 8, and nothing more.
The United States is the Greatest Nation this earth has ever seen BECAUSE it was founded upon Limited Government and Personal Liberty, unleashing unlimited individual potential and achievement.
Over the course of my lifetime,the scope, power and influence of government has grown exponentially, permeating every aspect of our lives, well outside the powers enumerated within the Constitution. Everyday decisions affecting our lives are increasingly made by government bureaucrats, based on political posturing, making us less free.
I understand the greatness of our Constitution, and the necessity of a limited government in order to preserve our personal liberty and freedom as a nation.
The ingenuity of the American people, unleashed through our founding principles, makes our country great.
My candidacy is dedicated to re-igniting the passion of our citizens to fight to retain our personal liberty and freedoms, and to roll back the bureaucratic nightmare engulfing our great nation.
